Results in Brief
--There are 21 participants in project (15 men, 3 women, 3 reserved kits).
--One test kit is currently with participants.
--13 Y-DNA (paternal line) test results have posted. Four individuals reporting the Q Haplogroup (Native American), two reporting E3a (African), and four reporting the R1B1 and R1B Haplogroups (European), and three reporting other Haplogroups (K1, J1, J2.)
--9 mtDNA (maternal line) test results have posted. Seven individuals reporting Native American Haplogroups ( A, B, and C Haplogroups.) One reporting J1b Haplogroup, a Near Eastern and Iberian/European Haplogroup. One reporting V Haplogroup, a European Haplogroup.
--Genetic genealogy has very specific limitations -- I would encourage you to read this short note at at the University of Texas at Austin--Deep Roots? New DNA tests may reveal your ancestry, but researchers urge caution when interpreting results.
