Summary

The first set of genetic testing results have been reported by FamilyTreeDNA. These include two results for Y-DNA (paternal DNA) and three results for mtDNA (maternal DNA). These results are posted on the
Genetic Results page.

At this time, eighteen (18) persons are participating in the DNA project. The newest participant lives in the Canary Islands.

Email addresses for two researchers have been posted to the
Community of Researchers page. If you are interested in joining our loosely-knit research group, please do contact me.

Another corollary component to the genetic testing is the locating and web-publishing of Carvajal genealogies (
family trees). One San Antonio Carvajal genealogy is posted, and two others will be posted in September 2006. If you have a family tree you would like to share with others, please send it to me so that I can include it with our materials. I'll be more than happy to attribute the work to you and provide you with a webpage on this site to communicate more information about yourself and your family interests.

I remain interested in hearing from others about Sephardic listserve groups, Jewish listserve groups, Jewish culture associations in Texas, and Hispanic genealogical associations in Texas that I should contact about the project. If you have suggestions about who I should contact, please let me know.
